🚀 Highlights from Our Second Lab Symposium

Post by Irem Erkosan

Instead of weekly meetings, we’ve switched things up with a full-day symposium! 🚀 On February 21st, we gathered at the MPI Galeria for our second Hyman Lab Symposium—a day packed with science, collaboration, and fresh ideas.

Oh, and we got our very own Hyman Lab notebook—because let’s be honest, great science deserves great stationery! 📒😆

After some key updates on lab retreats, grants, and papers, we dove into inspiring talks from:🔬 Lars, 🔬 Koichiro, 🔬 Isaac, and 🔬 Anupa

Koichiro shared exciting new findings

Lars guided us through his fancy Condensate diffusion equations—#Nabla #Maths101 📊. From stress granules to centrosomes, each presentation sparked lively discussions and plenty of future ideas.

And because no great day is complete without food, we took a well-deserved lunch break at the MPI canteen

Our ultimate challenge: fitting the entire Hyman Lab onto the MPI stairs for a group photo. 😆📸

💡 P.S.: To keep the discussions buzzing, we also run a weekly journal club where we go over two papers. 📚
