This year’s “Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften” at the MPI-CBG was a huge success, with nearly 1,800 visitors in a single evening!
Dresdeners of all ages had the chance to: see pipetting robots in action; learn how to extract the DNA of a banana in their own kitchens; see the wide variety of organisms living in our little pond, from water scorpions to toads the size of a fingernail; watch a play in which the fruit flies become the scientists; and much more!
Many people enjoying the hands-on activities in the MPI atrium The Hyman lab and its members were featured in two short videos shown in the “Wissenschaft durchs Schlüsselloch” (Science through the Keyhole) exhibit, where behind-the-scenes videos were shown around the institute.
