Our postdoc Theresia Gutmann brought science to the stage at the grand finale of “Beerology.” The place was packed at the Mondpalast Bar!
In an accessible and entertaining way, she took the audience on a tour of the inner workings of the cell and explained how the immune system detects viral invasion. She highlighted how DNA can serve as a danger signal indicating an infection. Finally, she provided insights into her recent research on how the coronavirus subverts immune detection.
