Tony Hyman has been nominated and elected to Academia Europaea, The Academy of Europe. The Academy consists of ~3000 leading European experts in science, technology, humanities, social sciences, economics, and law. Invitations to join the Academy “are made only after peer group nomination, scrutiny and confirmation as to the scholarship and eminence of the individual in their chosen field.
